H2LAC

We are pleased to contribute to this important regional dialogue through the participation of our leadership:

  • Gunther Beger, Managing Director at UNIDO, will deliver keynote remarks on “The Role of Hydrogen in Energy Transformation and Sustainable Industry in Latin America”.
  • Petra Schwager, Chief of Climate and Technology Partnerships at UNIDO, will join a standout all-women panel of global experts to discuss: “How Competitive is Latin America and the Caribbean?”

H2LAC is a region’s key low-carbon hydrogen event. It returns to Latin America as Brazil prepares to host COP30, bringing together policymakers, regulators, investors, energy companies, and hydrogen leaders to shape the future of clean energy in the region.

Hydrogen holds significant potential for Latin America. Many countries in the region are developing long-term hydrogen strategies and advancing project pipelines, including gigawatt-scale initiatives aimed at international export.

UNIDO is committed to supporting Latin America in accelerating local production and uptake of clean hydrogen to drive sustainable industrial and economic development, while also fostering the region’s inclusive and just participation in global hydrogen trade.
